Laura is a Somatic Psychotherapist and Embodiment Practitioner who supports women through meaningful life transitions, relationship challenges, identity shifts, grief and loss, emotional overwhelm, and the subtle but persistent ways stress and lived experience can be held in the body.

Her work is grounded in the understanding that healing does not happen through insight alone, but through the nervous system feeling safe enough to reorganise. Laura takes a body-led, relational approach that gently supports regulation, emotional resilience, and a renewed sense of agency — helping clients feel more present, connected, and at home in themselves.

Laura’s pathway into somatic psychotherapy is deeply personal. Earlier in her life, she lived with chronic gynaecological pain and periods of profound disconnection from her body. What began as an attempt to manage physical symptoms became a much wider journey of healing — one that brought her into contact with burnout, anxiety, spiritual questioning, and the limits of coping through effort alone.

Through this process, Laura discovered somatic and movement-based practices not as techniques to “fix” herself, but as ways to listen, soften, and restore trust in the body’s innate intelligence. This lived experience continues to inform her work, shaping a practice that values attunement, pacing, curiosity, and respect for each person’s unique rhythm.

In her sessions, Laura works collaboratively and intuitively, integrating somatic psychotherapy, counselling, embodiment practices, gentle movement, and body awareness. Sessions are tailored to the individual and may support clients with:

  • Navigating life transitions and periods of change

  • Relationship patterns, attachment themes, and emotional boundaries

  • Anxiety, overwhelm, and nervous system dysregulation

  • Identity, self-esteem, and embodied confidence

  • Grief, loss, and existential or spiritual inquiry

  • Psychosomatic symptoms and stress-related tension

Laura has a particular interest in working with women who are reflective, self-aware, and seeking a deeper, more embodied way of relating to themselves and their lives — rather than a purely cognitive or symptom-focused approach.

Her professional background includes a Postgraduate Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy (PACFA accredited), alongside extensive training in somatic and embodiment-based modalities. These include Somatic Experiencing® (currently completing the three-year professional training), Somatic Stress Release™, Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy, somatic movement therapy, embodiment teacher training, non-linear movement, and Body-Mind Centering®-informed approaches.

Having grown up across multiple cultures and countries, Laura brings a sensitive, culturally attuned lens to her work. Her South American heritage and international upbringing inform a practice that honours complexity, nuance, and the many ways people make meaning of their experiences.

Laura offers a grounded, compassionate space for those seeking to slow down, reconnect, and meet themselves with greater honesty and care — supporting not just healing, but a more vital, embodied way of living.
